Welcome!!!

This web site is a brand new initiative (donated by a good friend) and as such is still under construction. I felt it important to get it up and running ASAP to say THANK YOU and share with you the success and joy you helped create. I am sure that the smiles on the faces of these children say it all!

For many of us the biggest concern in getting involved in something like this is that the money is properly spent and not used for other people’s benefit. Please be assured that close to 100% of all the money goes straight to the children – all volunteers pay their own way, food, accommodations. I wanted to thank you for your confidence and assure you that it is a confidence that we don’t take lightly.

Starting up an orphanage for 60 kids from scratch is not without its challenges – in fact it seems overwhelming. The good news is – it is done, the kids will soon all be there, well looked after, in school and thrilled to be there.

Currently we rent the land and have an option to purchase 4 acres for US$75,000 – the lady is sympathetic to our cause and it is a great price. The bamboo structure will last 3 years, as we did not want to build permanent structures till we owned the land.

The well went dry and we need a truck to get the kids to and from school – so we do have our work cut out but I am sure, with God’s help – it will all work out.

All this to say I will be looking for creative ways to raise money and any and all ideas are welcome!
